Mechanical intake hoppers can be divided into several groups. These devices increase the capacity, reliability and efficiency of the conveyor system. When introducing conveyor technology, a mechanised intake hopper for bulk materials compensates for irregularities in the flow of goods and possible machine failures.

The mechanised systems are designed to buffer products. The design includes:

  • Round body;
  • Agitator;
  • Dosing screw;
  • Service hatch;
  • Level control sensor.

The main purpose of a feeder is to receive material, store it, and feed it into the process line. 

The process starts by loading the raw material into the hopper. The rotation of the drive drum starts the movement of the conveyor belt. The products on the conveyor belt are then conveyed in the required direction. The drive drum is powered by an electric motor and a gearbox.

The intake hopper can be used in a variety of industries. This mechanised device is used for handling bulk materials, greatly simplifies their conveyance, and has the following features:

  1. Prefabricated design consisting of standard components.
  2. The mechanised hopper can be installed easily, even in hard-to-reach locations.
  3. Different versions are available, depending on the capacity.

The feeding hopper and its screw mechanism are made of structural steel, with galvanised fixing connecting the parts. The location of the loading and unloading windows is determined by the process line parameters. The price of the intake hopper depends on its main parameters: volume, material and capacity.
